Express Entry CRS Points Calculator 

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system used by the Canadian government to assess and score a candidate's profile and rank it in the Express Entry pool. The CRS Score Calculator is a tool that helps you estimate your CRS score.

How Does the CRS Calculator Work?

The CRS Calculator evaluates your profile based on several factors such as age, education, language proficiency, work experience, and other factors. Each of these factors contributes to your overall CRS score.

A. Core / Human Capital Factors

  • Age: Maximum 100 points with a spouse or common-law partner, and 110 points without.

  • Level of Education: Maximum 140 points with a spouse or common-law partner, and 150 points without.

  • Official Languages Proficiency: Maximum 150 points with a spouse or common-law partner, and 160 points without.

  • Canadian Work Experience: Maximum 70 points with a spouse or common-law partner, and 80 points without.

 

B. Spouse or Common-law Partner Factors (Maximum 40 points)

  • Level of Education: Up to 10 points.

  • Official Language Proficiency: Up to 20 points.

  • Canadian Work Experience: Up to 10 points.

 

C. Skill Transferability Factors (Maximum 100 points)

  • Education: Up to 50 points for strong official language proficiency and a post-secondary degree.

  • Foreign Work Experience: Up to 50 points for strong official language proficiency and foreign work experience.

  • Certificate of Qualification (for people in trade occupations): Up to 50 points for strong official language proficiency and a certificate of qualification.

 

D. Additional Points (Maximum 600 points)

  • Sibling in Canada (citizen or permanent resident): 15 points.

  • French Language Skills: Up to 50 points.

  • Post-secondary Education in Canada: Up to 30 points.

  • Arranged Employment: Up to 200 points.

  • Provincial Nomination: 600 points.

 

The total maximum points that can be accumulated are 1200.

Remember, the higher your CRS score, the better your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence through the Canada Express Entry system.
